It has been about a year since I have really posted online. This was not my intention. So much has happened. Here is a rundown in chronological order.
- We conceived.
- We started building a tiny house.
- We bought a second home/investment property.
- We had a healthy baby boy.
- My mom lost her battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
- My grandmother passed 6 weeks later at the age of 101.
The past year was filled with love and loss, joy and sadness, feelings of helplessness, hope and every other emotion one can imagine.
My husband and I are so blessed to have welcomed our third child, a healthy baby boy. After three consecutive miscarriages and four overall I almost gave up. The emotional rollercoaster took its toll on my mind and body but he was so worth the wait.
After over a decade with Alzheimer’s Disease, my mom lost her battle in February 2022. Diseases of the mind in my opinion are the hardest on all who are involved both the patient and the family. I will share more on this soon.
My 101 year old paternal grandmother passed exactly 6 weeks after my mom. We believe she held on for my dad (her son) to see him through the death of his wife. She was sharp as a tack until the very end. She lead a full life and we miss her dearly. R.I.P. Grammy.
As if we didn’t have enough on our plates with our full time jobs, running a company, two young children, being hugely pregnant and having ailing family members, we bought an investment property. It has good bones, is in a great neighborhood, and in a very desirable location. The interior was pretty much a gut job and we are doing the work ourselves so it has been a slow progression. I’m excited to share more about this process soon.
Our tiny house is paused until our new property is up and running. I hope to resume progress very soon so that our family can enjoy it. Will keep you posted on its progress.
Well, now you know what’s happening in my world. I have missed sharing and hope to dive back in posting glimpses of all of our projects. I hope you will follow along.
